Multi Point Locks secure a door at multiple points along the frame using a single key or handle lift. This creates stronger resistance against forced entry compared to standard single-point locking systems.

These systems are commonly fitted to uPVC, composite, timber and aluminium doors in homes, flats and commercial properties.

How Multi Point Locks Work

A Multi Point Lock engages several locking points at the same time, typically:

  • Top hook or bolt

  • Central latch or deadbolt

  • Bottom hook or bolt

All points are operated together through a single cylinder and handle mechanism.

Suitable For

  • uPVC doors

  • Composite doors

  • Timber doors

  • Aluminium doors

  • Residential properties

  • Flats and apartment blocks

  • Light commercial buildings

Key Features

  • Multiple locking points for added security

  • Single action locking via handle or key

  • Compatible with standard UK door systems

  • Suitable for retrofits and replacements

  • Available in different backsets and configurations

  • Options for hook, roller or deadbolt mechanisms

Common Uses

  • Front and rear doors

  • Patio doors

  • Apartment entry doors

  • Office and light commercial entrances

  • Replacement for failed multi point mechanisms

Additional Information

Multi Point Locks reduce door flex and spread locking force across the full height of the door. This improves resistance to forced entry and helps maintain door alignment over time, especially on larger or frequently used doors.

Correct measurement and compatibility are important when replacing a Multi Point Lock to ensure smooth operation and proper engagement of all locking points.
