The Yale ConnectX Wi-Fi Bridge provides remote connectivity for compatible Yale smart security products, allowing devices that communicate locally via Bluetooth to connect to the internet through a home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, users can access supported functions through the Yale Home app while away from the property, including remotely controlling compatible locks, checking device status and receiving activity notifications. Designed as an enhanced replacement for the original Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, the ConnectX can connect up to four compatible Yale smart devices rather than a single device. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy to communicate with nearby Yale products and connects to the local network using 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. The bridge supports an approximate Bluetooth range of 10 metres and Wi-Fi range of 20 metres, although positioning and building construction may affect the achievable wireless range. The compact plug-in bridge measures approximately 60mm x 60mm x 60mm and weighs 87g, allowing straightforward installation into a suitable mains socket close to the connected Yale devices. Setup and management are carried out through the Yale Home app, with compatible products gaining additional functionality including remote access, real-time activity monitoring, instant alerts and supported smart-home integrations such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
