The Yale Smart Keypad 2 with fingerprint reader is a wireless access control accessory designed to provide convenient keyless operation of compatible Yale smart locks. Users can unlock the door using either the integrated biometric fingerprint reader or a personal 4–6 digit entry code, removing the need to carry a key or smartphone. Up to 10 individual fingerprints can be registered, while the keypad supports up to 220 unique entry codes when paired with a compatible smart lock, allowing access permissions to be configured for family members, visitors or other authorised users through the Yale Home app. One-touch locking enables the connected door lock to be secured simply by pressing the Yale button on the keypad. Designed for external installation, the keypad has an IP55 rating for resistance to water and dust and is powered by four AAA batteries, providing approximately six months of battery life under normal use. The illuminated keypad assists operation in low-light conditions, while an integrated doorbell button can generate notifications through the Yale Home app or a compatible voice assistant. Measuring 69mm wide x 122mm high x 19mm deep the Smart Keypad 2 forms part of the Yale Smart Security Ecosystem.
