Blow torch attacks on locks, Why thieves and burglars do it?

Blow torch attacks on Upvc doors has become a major issue during the last few years and this crime is not only damaging the property but potentially putting lives at risk.

Burning the door in such a way exposes the cylinder body and allows snapper bars, mole grips and other cylinder snapping tools to grip the body and snap the cylinder to allow complete removal. Once removed the door can be unlocked.

To combat this attack we suggest fitting PAS 24 handles along with a Garrison Integrator Breaksecure XP cylinder or Garrison 3DS cylinder.

The break secure XP and 3DS cylinders are specifically designed to withstand prolonged forced attack.
