Ford vans have been a target for wiring loom attacks since 2000. This was a main issue on the Ford MK6 and the later MK7 that came onto the market in 2006.
Although Ford upgraded the software on the vans to prevent the doors unlocking the attacks continued. The Ford transit custom also had the same issue and then a couple of years later the Transit MK8 350 suffered daily attacks to not only the cab doors but the rear doors also.
The loom guard has successfully thwarted attempts to cut the loom and is now one of the best selling aftermarket security products.
